Listen, what am about to say might offend half of anime fans and i am not doing this to rage bait anyone. However, i wanna share my opinion about this issue.
I dont like one piece and there are several reasons why. It having 1000 eps is not one of them. The problem i have with one piece is the fact that it's pace is bad, meaning it take like 200 eps to do something that has a very little impact on main story, tge author himself said that the real story begins now which means it took 1000 eps to build up, which is approximatly 333 hours. So uh it seems really bad. I think most of people who watch this anime are either watching it to then flex on others how their "attention span" very awsome because they sat for 333 hours, or because it was part of their childhood. the second reason is quite difficult to debate because people like them dont think objectively, they will protect it by all means and reject other thoughts, because, well, it was part of their childhood and you cant blame them, however some of em get mad when others say its mid, because of reasons i stated above, in my opinion jjba is way better. if jjba had 1000 episodes it would be generational, evry part has new main character and side characters and story goes by decent pace, its imposible to get bored watching it, one piece on othet hand, 1000+ eps on same main characters. only good thing about one piece is probably its world building. that was the reason i started it but gave up after like 200 eps, my froend, which is one piece enjoyer, told me that it becomas good after 500+ episodes. Bruh. if anime takes 500 eps to get interesting and good, then its neiter of them. Again this is just my opinion and reason for this post is to know yours. the 333 you use on one piece can be divided into dozens of different animes. you will get to know countless characters, various stories and many more. To be honest it feels kinda time waste. So what do you think.
