I am quite new to anime, but i constantly see watchlists that contain the most random things ever that i just never heard of, but they dont have most of the famous animes like "the big three" or other very good and famous animes.

It seems a bit weird to me why would people try to watch some random animes that could be completely trash or "slop" as the community calls it without having watched most of the "peak" ones.

If any people reading do this, enlighten me why and if its a good idea.

You can also recommend some animes if you want. :)
