If you’ve NEVER had mango lassi,
GO TO YOUR LOCAL INDIAN RESTAURANT
or
MAKE IT AT HOME.

If you wanna make it at home,
THESE ARE THE STEPS:

Ingredients (for 2 servings):

1 to 1.5 ripe mangoes (or 1 cup mango pulp, preferably Alphonso for best flavor)

1 cup plain yogurt (whole milk yogurt is best for creaminess)

1/2 cup milk (adjust based on desired consistency)

2-3 tablespoons sugar or honey (to taste)

1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom (optional but adds a lovely aroma)

A pinch of salt (enhances flavor)

Ice cubes (4–6, or chill all ingredients beforehand)


Optional toppings:

Chopped pistachios or almonds

A tiny pinch of saffron

Extra mango cubes

Instructions:

1. Blend it all: In a blender, combine mango, yogurt, milk, sugar/honey, cardamom, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.


2. Taste test: Adjust sweetness or thickness if needed. Add more milk to thin it out, or a little more yogurt to thicken.


3. Serve cold: Pour into glasses over ice (or chill before serving). Top with nuts, saffron, or mango cubes if you like.
