But But over time, I realize that… “Kill your best friend” thing isn't a requirement, it's more like: "The fastest path." Because what truly awakens the Mangekyō is deep emotional pain — loss, grief, heartbreak — not specifically murder, It's just a way to get that pain. And as we know Shisui get that when his best friend died in front of him. (Thanks, me later for info) Itachi: watched Shisui die. Obito: saw Rin die helplessly (That wasn't cause of Kakashi. He is nothing to do with that Awakening. He is just supposed to make holes in chest. No matter if he is Rin, obito or someone else.) Well, But here’s my issue: Sasuke awakens his Mangekyō right after killing Itachi. The thing is… Sasuke hated Itachi. He spent his entire life wanting to kill him. And when he finally does it, he doesn’t break down — he must have felt satisfaction. Like, “I did it. It’s done.” So... where's the trauma? He doesn't even know the truth about Itachi yet. That comes later from Obito — after the Mangekyō's already awakened. Is it possible that: 1) The loss of purpose triggered it? 2) Or was it just a plot speed-run moment? Well, donno but it sounds like I create the Problem of a solution.
